Terms of Service

Scalesites designs, builds, hosts and maintains websites for trades and local businesses on a monthly plan. The specifics of what's included are described on our website and confirmed in your enquiry.

Our plans are monthly and shown upfront: £45 a month for Scale Start and £79 a month for Scale Up at the time of writing, with nothing to pay upfront. We are not VAT-registered, so no VAT is added to these prices. Larger or fully custom websites are handled by our sister brand, Scalepoint, and quoted before any work begins.

We provide a free preview of your site before you pay. If you're not happy with the preview, you're under no obligation to proceed and you owe us nothing.

Plans are billed monthly and begin once you approve your preview and ask us to proceed. There is nothing to pay upfront. Each plan has a 12-month minimum term — this is what allows us to build and launch your site with no upfront cost — after which it continues month to month until you choose to stop.

To build your site we need content from you — such as your business details, services, and any photos or logos. You're responsible for ensuring you have the right to use the content you provide and that it is accurate.

The website, its content and your domain are yours. There are no hostage situations, and once your 12-month minimum term is complete we will hand over what you need if you ever choose to move elsewhere.

Fast UK hosting, SSL, your domain, security, updates and support are all included in your monthly plan — there is nothing extra to buy. If you leave after the minimum term, you keep your website and can host it wherever you like.

Every plan includes revisions before launch — we won't take your site live until you're happy with it. Go-live typically occurs within two weeks of you approving your preview, subject to receiving your content and domain access.

We take care to deliver a quality website, but to the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of your website. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
