Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

This policy explains how Scalesites collects, uses and protects the personal information you give us. We only collect what we need to respond to your enquiry and build your website, and we never sell your information.

Who we are

Scalesites is a trading name of Scalepoint Digital Ltd, a private limited company registered in England and Wales, company number 17294943. Registered office: 25a Gordon Road, Peckham, London, SE15 2AF.

Scalepoint Digital Ltd is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at hello@scalesites.co.uk or on 07784 895817.

What we collect

When you submit an enquiry form, we collect the details you provide: typically your name, business name, email address, phone number, trade or industry, your website (if you have one) and any notes you add.

If you use the chat on our site, your messages are processed to answer you, and any contact details you give are saved as an enquiry. If you ask us to call you back, we use your phone number to connect the call.

When you visit the site we also collect usage data: the pages you view, your device and browser, your approximate location, and the link or advert that brought you here.

How we use your information

We use your enquiry details to respond to you, prepare a preview or quote, and deliver the services you ask for. If you become a client, we use them to build and manage your website and to bill you. We rely on our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and, once you are a client, on our contract with you.

We use usage data to understand how the site is used, to improve it, and to measure whether our adverts work. Where the law needs your consent for a cookie, we ask for it first.

We may contact you about your enquiry or your project. We do not add you to marketing lists without your consent.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run the site and our business: Vercel (website hosting), Web3Forms (delivers form enquiries to our inbox), Supabase (stores enquiry records), Slack (alerts our team to new enquiries), Anthropic (powers the chat assistant), Twilio (connects callback calls) and Cal.com (books calls).

For analytics and advertising we use Google (Tag Manager and Google Analytics), Microsoft Clarity, Meta (the Meta Pixel and Conversions API), PostHog and Vercel Web Analytics.

These providers only use your information to provide their service to us. Some are based outside the UK, including in the United States. Where your information leaves the UK, we rely on the transfer safeguards these providers offer under UK data protection law. We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

Cookies and analytics

When you first visit, a cookie banner (CookieYes) asks whether you accept analytics and advertising cookies. Google Analytics runs in consent mode and only sets its cookies once you accept.

Microsoft Clarity records how visitors scroll and click on a page so we can fix confusing layouts. The Meta Pixel measures visits from our Facebook and Instagram adverts. PostHog measures how the site's features are used. These load with the page. Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights count page views and loading speed without cookies.

To change your choice, clear this site's cookies and the banner will ask again. You can also block cookies in your browser settings.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to respond and follow up. Client records are kept for as long as we provide the service and then for as long as the law requires us to keep business and accounting records.

Data security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it or send it to you in a portable format. You can object to us using it and withdraw any consent you have given. Just get in touch using the details below and we'll help.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to put it right first.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top.
